Seiler: Obama ‘Justice’ Dept. backs Big Brother snooping by Anaheim cops

Big Brother not only is watching you, he’s listening to your cell phones. Especially in Anaheim using what’s called Stingray, a device that mimics cellphone towers, tricking your phone into emptying its contents.

And that’s just hunky-dory with the Obama “Justice” Department. The Register reported:

“The U.S. Justice Department has sided squarely with the Anaheim Police Department in an ongoing civil liberties legal battle over clandestine cellphone-tracking technology that is increasingly being deployed by law enforcement agencies.

“Federal prosecutors argue in a recent court filing that police in Orange County’s largest city properly withheld key details about the equipment from the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California. The group has sought public release of records on the devices in an 18-month-long case pending in Superior Court….

“Law enforcement authorities say the technology – commonly called ‘stingrays,’ a nod to StingRay, a device manufactured by the Harris Corp. – has played an essential role in tracking potential terrorists and investigating major crimes such as homicides and grand theft.”

The KGB gave similar reasons for violating people’s rights.

In America, the Fourth Amendment is clear:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

What’s also curious is that Anaheim, right in the middle of a “conservative” county that is supposed to respect people’s rights, is siding with the scofflaws of the Obama “Justice” Department. Let’s look at just a couple of this department’s violations of our rights:

• The Fast and Furious scandal that sent heavy weapons to Mexico, hoping they would end up back up in El Norte, then traced to right-wing groups. It spiraled into disaster, including the death of U.S. border agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexicans. Attorney General Eric Holder was found in contempt of Congress for failing to provide crucial information to a congressional investigation. He should have been jailed as was Nixon AG John Mitchell.

• The failure to prosecute Lois Lerner and other IRS honchos for specifically targeting Tea Party groups because they opposed President Obama and Democrats in Congress.

• Exiling brave whistleblower Edward Snowden for revealing that the CIA, FBI, NSA and other Orwellian agencies spy on us continually, again in violation of the Fourth Amendment. A new Oliver Stone movie on Snowden is coming out Friday.

• The sellout deal by current AG Loretta Lynch to Bill Clinton on the tarmac at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport over Hillary’s email scandals. That led Director James Comey of the FBI, which is run by the “Justice” Department, to whitewash Hillary’s criminal activity, which would have landed anybody else in prison for misusing classified data.

This is the most crooked “Justice” Department in the history of this country, making the Nixon/Mitchell DOJ look in comparison like scrupulous constitutionalists.

Anaheim and its police department should be ashamed they’re backed by the Obama/Lynch DOJ and should stop using stingray technology without a proper warrant.
